Charice is Back on Glee

Yes, "Sunshine Corazon" is finally and definitely back in the hit musical TV series "Glee."

“Look who's back!! @officialcharice!!! So happy!!!,” lead actress Lea Michele (who played Rachel Berry) posted on her Twitter account along with a photo of her and Charice on the set of “Glee.”

Charice then retweeted Michele’s post and added, “You're so sweet.”

Moments after, Charice tweets “Filipino power!!!! Blaine Anderson and Sunshine Corazon!!!!” and puts up a picture of her with fellow Glee cast member, Fil-Am Darren Criss who plays the role of “Anderson”, a member of New Directions rival choir Warblers and love interest of Chris Colfer's Kurt Hummel character on the show.




Charice’s comeback episode is yet to be announced but she is slated to appear in five more episodes towards the end of the current season, as mentioned in an interview by ABS-CBN with "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy aired in January.

‘Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin’ Tops The Ratings on Its Debut

“Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin,” the newest series to join the primetime race, took the national lead as it earned the number one post in the list of the most-watched programs nationwide when it premiered last Monday, March 7, according to Kantar Media/TNS.

“Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” obtained a national rating of 37.8%, the highest among all programs aired last Monday. It trounced "I Heart You Pare," which rated only 19.4% in its new and earlier timeslot.

The Coco Martin-starred series also took supremacy over its timeslot in the Mega and Metro Manila areas. “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” got a rating of 30.5% in Mega Manila beating “I Heart You Pare’s” 23.4%.

The newest series on ABS-CBN earned a 10-point lead against GMA’s “I Heart You Pare” in the Metro Manila area. “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” achieved a Metro Manila rating of 34.2% while “I Heart You Pare” only obtained 24%.

Upon learning the good news, Coco and the rest of the cast members plus its directors are very happy with the overwhelming response. “Sarap ng feeling,” Coco said in an interview.

Star Cinema: In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the longest running drama series in Asia - MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya), it will feature Angel Locsin and Bea Alonzo together in a project you wouldn't want to miss - Maalaala Mo Kaya: The Movie 2.

The first MMK movie was released in 1994 featuring the true-to-life story of letter sender Marilyn Acierda played by Aiko Melendez. Chin Chin Gutierrez and Richard Gomez were also in the cast.

ABS-CBN: Zanjoe Marudo and Megan Young topbill the 15th installment of Precious Hearts Romances Series titled “Hiyas.”

Zanjoe will play the role of “Silang”, a man searching for a precious gem but instead finds his true love in presence of the character played by Megan Young. Other members of the cast include Joross Gamboa, John Arcilla, Edward Mendez, Nonie Buencamino, Kristel Moreno, and Neri Naig.

“Hiyas” is being helmed by acclaimed indie director Adolf Alix, Jr.


TV5: Wendell Ramos signed an exclusive contract with the Kapatid Network yesterday, March 8. As part of the deal, he will star in two primetime shows - the newly reformatted "Hapi-er Together" with Long Mejia and a new lead cast, Joey Marquez. He will also become part of "Babaeng Hampaslupa" as hired-killer commissioned to kill Alice Dixon but will later become involved emotionally with the actress' character.

The Nation Mourns on the Death of ‘Mara’

Lumuha ang buong bayan sa pagpanaw ni Mara (Kathryn Bernardo) sa nangununang teleserye na “Mara Clara.”

Iba’t iba ang naging reaction ng mga fan sa kakaibang twist na naganap sa kwento ng top-rating series. Isa na rito ang isang 11-year old na batang babae na nagngangalang Pamela na lubos na naapektuhan sa pagkamatay ni Mara.

Naka-paskil sa YouTube ang reaksyon ng bata na naitampok pa sa TV Patrol. Todo iyak si Pamela at sinisigaw pa ang pangalan ng bida habang nasa tapat ng telebisyon. Mahigit sa kalahating milyon na ang hits nito sa YouTube.




Nang tanungin si Kathryn kung ano ang kanyang reaksyon sa libu-libong taga-subaybay ng Mara Clara na todo ang pagkalungkot sa pagpanaw ng kanyang karakter sa teleserye, ang naging sagot ng dalaga ay, “Mas nalaman ko po ngayon ang responsibilidad namin sa mga taga-subaybay ng aming teleserye, lalo na po sa mga bata. Nakakataba po ng puso ang kanilang mainit na pagtanggap.”

Samantala, subaybayan pa ang mga kakaibang pangyayari sa pamilya Del Valle at sa mga David ngayong wala na si Mara.

Patuloy sa pagdu-domina sa ratings ang "Ina ng teleserye." Base sa Kantar Media/TNS, nagtala ito ng 37.1% national rating kumpara sa naghihingalong "I Heart You Pare" na nakakuha lamang ng 17.1% noong March 4.

Tumutok lamang sa mga makabagbag-damdamin pang kaganapan sa “Mara Clara” Lunes hanggang Biyernes, pagkatapos ng “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin”.

Rico Gutierrez Resigned as 'Party Pilipinas' Director

After Direk Louie Ignacio, another director has has opted out of GMA-7 Sunday show "Party Pilipinas."

Director Rico Gutierrez, who formed part of the replacement team that took over the post that director Louie Ignacio vacated last year, has submitted his resignation notice to GMA-7 SVP for Entertainment Wilma Galvante on Thursday. Galvante reportedly accept the resignation but didn’t detail the reason for the move.

Prior to this, Gutierrez, via Twitter, announced that he will take a much-needed vacation from the show owing to a commitment concerning the musical "Wazak: A Love Story."

It turned out that Gutierrez was actually intending for a permanent vacation. And although GMA-7 is still mum on the matter as of this writing, many believe that Reyes will continue directing the show by his lonesome in the interim.

That said, Reyes' tenure on the show is also being speculated upon by many given the rumors that he'll be transferring to TV5 soon to helm the made-for-TV remake of "Bagets."

Justin Bieber "My World Tour" Manila Concert Tickets Now Available Through SM Tickets

Good news: Justin Bieber is coming in Manila for a concert slated on May 10, 2011 at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.

Another good news: Interested ticket buyers can now reserve and buy tickets online through www.smtickets.com.

Mr. Henry Lapis, SM Tickets' Business Unit Head, discussed the process of buying tickets online as well as how to pay them. "Online, you can either reserve or buy tickets. For example, you just saw an event and you wanted to reserve muna, we will be giving you three days reservation period. And when you want to buy it now, you just click on the buy button and pay via credit card.

"And then from there you can choose whether you want your ticket to be sent via SMS to your cellphone using Bcode (bar code) and scan the eTicket on your mobile phone on BCode machines located at the venue and your ticket will be printed instantly. Or you can print the [claim ticket] voucher and you can redeem your tickets in advance in any of our outlets nearest you.
"So, you have two choices, you can claim your tickets in advance or you can claim it at the venue using the Bcode," explained the executive.

Tickets bought online are of the same price as the tickets on the ticket venues. But you have to add P20 for an additional fee.

Aside from Bieber fans, other concertgoers are looking forward to watching other foreign acts that will soon perform here in the Philippines. These include Anberlin (March 9 at A. Venue, Makati), Switchfoot (April 30 at Philsports Arena, formerly Ultra in Pasig), Maroon 5 (May 23 at SMX Convention Center), Kenny Loggins (May 22 at SMX Convention Center), and Asking Alexandria (May 27 at the Amoranto Theater in QC). The Irish pop rock trio The Script is also slated to perform at the Araneta Coliseum on April 16.

Award-winning sexy Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban gets into a fight with Philippine Azkals' striker Phil Younghusband and his fan on Twitter when Angel posted an unsolicited advice regarding Phil's reported entry to showbiz.

Noong March 3, naganap ang sagutan ni Angelica Panganiban (@IamAngelicaP) at ng isang "Baby Morales" sa micro-blogging at social networking site.

Nag-react si Angelica sa napapabalitang indie film, kung saan lalabas umano si Phil.

Ayon kay Angelica, "si phil may indie film... Akala ko ba football player sya??? :( lahat na lang artista na :( sad..."

Dagdag pa ni Angelica, sana raw ay mag-concentrate na lang si Phil sa football para tuloy-tuloy ang panalo nito.

"Sila rooney ba gumagawa ng movie? I dont think so :) mukhang busy lang sila kkpractice para laging manalo :)" saad niya.

Si Wayne Rooney ay isang sikat na football player mula sa England.

"Sinasabi ko nga, kaming mg artista, gumagawa kami ng Twitter para mapalapit sa mga tao, sa mga fans namin, sa mga nagmamahal sa amin. So, huwag nilang gawing way yun para murahin kami, bastusin kami, kumbaga, tapak-tapakan yung pagkatao namin.

"Kasi, artista kaming nagbibigay ng saya at hindi kami nambabastos ng tao. So, huwag nilang gawin sa amin yun."

Ano ang naging reaksiyon ng boyfriend niyang si Derek Ramsay, na idinamay rin ng "fan ni Phil"? Bukod kasi sa pag-aartista ay miyembro rin ng frisbee national team si Derek.

"Tumawag sa akin si Derek dahil nabalitaan niya yun. Siyempre, galit na galit siya. Nabalitaan pa niya na sinabi nung bakla yata yun, na nagkabali-bali pa yung buto ni Derek wala namang nauuwing karangalan sa Pilipinas.

"Siyempre, sobra siyang nasaktan dun. I mean, buong-puso siyang naglalaro. And ano niya yun, e, passion niya yun. And hindi naman siya professional football player katulad ni Phil na..."Kumbaga, yun nga ang point ko, e, nakikilala na ngayon yung football. So, bakit hindi ka mag-focus dun?

"Kasi, I'm sure, kung kay Derek darating yung ganyang malaking opportunity na makikilala na rin yung frisbee, na ganito kalaki sa Pilipinas, titigilan niya na yung showbiz at ibibigay niya yung buong oras niya sa paglalaro ng frisbee. Kung yun talaga ang mahal niya, di ba?

"So, dun siya na-hurt na hindi naman yun totoo. Kasi, every time naman na umaalis siya ng Pilipinas, at kahit dito sa atin para makipag-compete, e, nananalo naman sila.

"And, nasasaktan pa siya kasi siya yung nagbibigay ng funds sa Philippine team, galing mismo sa bulsa niya. Nagpupunta siya ng Davao, ng Cebu, Dumaguete, nagti-take time siya para makakita ng mga frisbee player at makikipag-compete sila sa Shanghai, may competition sila sa Italy, may laban sila sa Brazil... Ang dami niyang ginagawa and inuuwing karangalan sa Pilipinas.

"And ang tanga niya ["fan ni Phil"], hindi pala niya alam yun. Wala pala siyang alam sa nangyayari sa Pilipinas. Tapos, kung makapag-tweet siya...ang galing niya, di ba?" litanya ng young actress.

“Nasaan Ka Elisa?” is the Philippine adaptation of the hit Chilean telenovela “Donde Esta Elisa?” (Where is Elisa?) produced by Telemundo TV network.

Young actress Melissa Ricks will play the role of Elisa in the local version produced by ABS-CBN.

Cast include Albert Martinez, Desiree del Valle, Agot Isidro, Vina Morales, Eric Fructuoso, Franco Daza, Christopher Roxas, Aldred Gatchalian among others.
