Lunar Eclipse - December 11, 2011 (Photo and Video)

Lunar Eclipse - December 11, 2011 (Photo and Video)

A rare total lunar eclipse which was viewed across Asia, Australia and the U.S. happened on December 10 (December 11 in the Philippines), making the moon appear and bright red.

During the eclipse the moon will darken and show an unpredictable range of different colours as the Earth blocks the sun's rays. This effect is known as the Rayleigh scattering.

"Not only will the moon be beautifully red, it will also be inflated by the moon illusion." NASA scientists said.

Watch the video here courtesy of on YouTube:

A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passes between the sun and the moon, throwing the moon into shadow.

Another total lunar eclipse is expected to happen on April 15, 2014.

Angel Locsin Faces New Challenge in Her Career

Angel Locsin Faces New Challenge in Her Career

Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin now faces a new, big challenge in her showbiz career....to make us laugh - to death - as she officially joins“TODA MAX”.

From being a guest star on the first episodeAngel Locsin is now a mainstay in ABS-CBN’s hit sitcom “Toda Max.

With her effective portrayal as Isabel Padausdos, Justin’s (Vhong Navarro) girlfriend, in the first few episodes of Kapamilya Comedy flagship sitcom “TODA Max,” Angel Locsin has proven that her gift in acting is not only limited to primetime teleseryes and romantic movies. She can also shine in comedy

At first, Angel was just a guest star in the sitcom. But after showing her innate hilarity, there was no more reason for her to leave the Beverly Gil’s strip. “TODA Max” proudly launches Angel Locsin as its newest member, whose humor is sure to add loads of laughter and bring happiness to every Filipino family.

It can be recalled that recently, Angel made a mark when she did a serious wolf role in ABS-CBN’s hit primetime series “Imortal” with John Lloyd Cruz. Now in “TODA Max,” she’s ready to bring out the comedienne in her. Angel will join other big stars such as action superstar Robin Padilla, Prince of Comedy Vhong Navarro andPokwang.

In an interview, the actress said that besides the acting awards she wants to bag in the future, she also dreamt of starring in family-oriented sitcoms like “TODA Max.”

“I grew up watching sitcoms, especially those filled with moral values. I also believe that a family’s relationship can be strengthened by watching television together,” said Angel.

Meanwhile, “TODA Max” was hailed as the country’s most watched comedy program for the month of November. According to Kantar Media, the sitcom garnered 23% TV rating, alongside with other top-rating shows of the Kapamilya network.

With this triumph, the spirit of the undisputed Kapamilya Comedy has definitely been revived. Catch “TODA Max” Saturdays, after “Maalaala Mo Kaya” on ABS-CBN.

Julia Montes on Kissing Scene with Coco Martin: "Depende rin kung mapapabuti ba ako dun."

Julia Montes on Kissing Scene with Coco Martin: "Depende rin kung mapapabuti ba ako dun."

Julia Montes, whom showbiz insiders believed to be the next Claudine Barretto, talks about working separately with her perennial co-star Kathryn Bernardo, her new leading man Coco Martin and their much-awaited kissing scene in the upcoming ABS-CBN heavy drama primetime series "Walang Hanggan".

On Kathryn Bernardo: “Magkahiwalay na kami. Nakakalungkot kasi sinasanay nga kami tapos nagbibiruan na nga kami na, ‘Uyyy, naiiyak na yan!’ kasi nasanay na nga kami na every time may taping, kami yung magkasama.”

On her "Walang Hanggan" role: “Hindi pa kami nag-tape pero meron pa akong gagawing workshop for the role. Basta may pagka-medyo level up ng konti. Medyo may mature role ito. Nakaka-pressure din. Siyempre iba na yung role ko ngayon, medyo about love na ito. More on love. Hindi na tulad noon na more on family tapos konting love love, ganun. So medyo serious role na ito.”

On her newest leading man Coco Martin: “Basta gagawin lang naman namin yung role namin para mas napapadali namin yun. Tulad niya, magaling siyang actor, so mas natutulungan din ako sa character ko. Comfortable naman ako sa kanya kasi nga katulad nga nung nakatrabaho ko na siya dati. Siguro kung hindi ko siya nakatrabaho before medyo may hiya factor pa. Ngayon medyo nangangapa pa kami as love team pero okay na ako sa kanya personally.”

On reported "kissing scene" with Coco: “Hindi pa ako ready sa age ko. Kung kakailanganin, let’s see. Hindi ako makakapag-decide din kasi agad. Titingnan ko muna lahat nung anggulo kung mapapabuti ba ako dun or ano. Depende rin, depende.”

Aside from Julia and Coco, "Walang Hanggan" also stars Susan Roces, Helen Gamboa, Rita Avila, Melissa Ricks, Joem Bascon, Paolo Avelino, Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta.

Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson Break Network War as They Appeared Both in 'Eat Bulaga' and in 'Happy Yipee Yehey!'

Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson break the network war between the Kapamilya network and Kapuso network as they guested in the two rival afternoon variety shows!

Sarah and Gerald or Sasa and Gege both appeared in GMA-7's noontime show "Eat Bulaga" and ABS-CBN's "Happy Yipee Yehey" on the same day to promote their movie called "Won't Last a Day Without You."

Fans were very happy to see Sarah and Gerald appeared in the rival shows! As they say, they are crossing the gap between the Kapuso and Kapamilya rivalry.

Joey De Leon, one of the main hosts of "Eat Bulaga" played as the father of Sarah in the said movie. He is a DJ in the said film of Star Cinema! We may recall that Joey's first work was a DJ in a radio station!

Hope that this is the start that Kapamilya stars could guest in the Kapuso network and vice versa! Good to see this! Cool!

Richard Gutierrez' Bad Words to 'PBB!'

Kapuso actor Richard Gutierrez is now the topic of the online community after he uttered bad words against the rival reality TV program "Pinoy Big Brother."

Richard is currently the host of the GMA-7 hit reality show "Survivor Philippines" for the second time around. But in the latest episode during the tribal council, Richard lost his temper to the complaining castaways and uttered bad words against "PBB."

The exact words of Richard which were cut out in the local channel were:

"If you want pampering and total safety join that FUCKING PINOY BIG BROTHER!!! this is SURVIVOR!"

Here is the said episode of "Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown." Let's all watch this at:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r8zzJNVRHA&feature=player_embedded

Seems that Richard was also overtaken by the heat of the emotions. Because of the said episode, network war now in terms of reality shows rise once more!

Well, what can you say about this incident?! Can we blame the host Richard about this?! Or he was just persuaded by temper-loosing castaways?!
