MTRCB Puts 'Wowowillie' on Three Months Probation

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has put TV5′s noontime show “Wowowillie” on three months probation after numerous complaintsreached the agency.

According to reports, the MTRCB decision came after the April 16 episode of Willie Revillame's showed its female dancers wearing a very skimpy outfits particularly a one well-endowed dancer named Charm, whose bountiful cleavage went on full display during the show’s “Tutok to Win” segment.

Last month, “Wowowillie” staff including Revillame were summoned by MTRCB to undergo a gender sensitivity seminar after Revillame castigated co-hosts Ethel Booba and Ate Gay on air after an altercation in the dressing room.

Flashback: Daniel Matsunaga 2010 Hot Issue!

Quite a number of celebrity nude photos proliferate in cyberspace, and three pictures that are sending netizens crazy these days are of Brapanese model Daniel Matsunaga.
Matsunaga was captured in his birthday suit as featured in one website. One photo showed the Brazilian hunk displaying his bare behind. Another photo captured him in a pose where he was covering his most private part while facing the camera.
Still, another photo showed him with Singaporean photographer Leslie Kee, who reportedly took the shot. In the third photo, Matsunaga was in his naked glory with only his hands covering his sensitive area.
These pictures were said to be for Kee’s book “Superstars,” which also featured other international models in all states of undress.
Reportedly taken in 2006 when the young Brazilian hunk was just in his teens, Matsunaga agreed to do the daring shots because it was for a cause. Proceeds of the sale of the book reportedly went to the tsunami victims in Asia.
Bulletin Entertainment tried to reach Matsunaga’s manager for comment through his PR man Doc Gamboa. Gamboa hesitantly said, “ayaw patulan,” when pressed to comment on the controversial photos.
It is said that the manager requested the website administrator to remove the nude photos of Matsunaga.
Matsunaga is currently in Brazil for a short vacation. He will be back on May 15, which he announced on the premiere night of his movie “D’ Survivors.”
Matsunaga came into public consciousness after appearing in several commercials. He has modeled for various fashion designers abroad, and this modeling job has already taken him to different countries.
Lately, he ventured into acting, playing a werewolf on GMA-7's “The Last Prince.” He will be paired again with Kris Bernal on the upcoming drama anthology “Love Bug.”
Another project that Matsunaga is poised to do is a primetime series with Heart Evangelista titled, “Langit Sa Piling Mo.”

TOP-RATING DRAMAS HEADLINE ABS-CBN OFFERINGS IN DISCOP MIDDLE EAST

“My Eternal” (Walang Hanggan), the Philippines’ highest-rating drama series of 2012, “Be Careful With My Heart”, the undisputed daytime sensation, and current primetime record breaker “Her Mother’s Daughter” (Ina, Kapatid, Anak) lead the pack of ABS-CBN International Distribution’s offerings for DISCOP WEST ASIA. Around 450 companies from 51 countries are expected to participate in this digital content market and co-production forum which will take place in Istanbul, Turkey from March 5-7.

At the end of its run in October 2012, “My Eternal” (Walang Hanggan) posted a staggering 45.4% rating and an audience share of 66%, attributable to its absolutely engaging story that portrays the triumph of the human spirit against all odds. Viewers were captured by the fall and rise of son and mother, Daniel and Emily, and how their respective love stories panned out. Likewise contributing to its success are the memorable and gripping performances of its cast members, from its time-tested veteran actors and actresses and current crop of young stars.

Tailgating its success are two of ABS-CBN's most exciting offerings for 2013 which are interestingly, a study in contrast. "Be Careful With My Heart", the network's daytime frontrunner, is a light drama bordering on the romantic while "Her Mother's Daughter" (Ina, Kapatid, Anak), currently making waves on primetime, is family drama on high gear.

The strength of "Be Careful With My Heart" which peaked at 31.3% rating and 62% share is founded on the unlikely but budding romance between Maya, an ever optimistic nanny, and her boss "Sir Chief", the stern but gentle-on-the-inside widower Richard Lim. The endearing performances of the two leads and the charming characters that comprise their respective TV families likewise contribute to the feel-good factor of the series.

Meanwhile, the strengths of "Her Mother's Daughter" (Ina, Kapatid, Anak) lie in its intense but relatable storyline of complex relationships between family members and interesting plot twists that will keep the audience wanting for more. It also topbills one of the country’s most sought-after young love teams, Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, supported by a powerhouse cast that cuts across generations. The show reached a series high of 40.4% rating with 57% share last February 21.

“We are confident that the phenomenal performances of these three dramas locally are indicative of a strong emotional connection that is seen to transcend across all cultures and boundaries,” says ABS-CBN International Distribution Head, Ms. Leng Raymundo.

It is the second time that ABS-CBN, touted as the Filipino master of world-class dramas, is participating in DISCOP WEST ASIA. The conference encompasses countries bordering part of the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Caucasus and Central Asia and is described as “a vibrant marketplace comprising more than 600 million people marked by common cultural backgrounds, a strong appetite for television entertainment, and an ever growing interest for quality drama series.”
