Vice Ganda Faces MTRCB and CHR Complaints

Socorro Guatlo, Jr., head of  the  Born Free Coalition, on Tuesday, has filed a written complaint in the office of the Movie & Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) and Commission on Human Rights (CHR) against Vice Ganda in relation to his offensive joke about GMA-7 VP for News and Public Affairs Jessica Soho's weight.
In his complaint, Guatlo asked MTRCB Chairman Atty. Eugenio Villareal to require Vice Ganda to prevent the use of comedy bar humor whose stock in trade is insult on his 2 ABS-CBN shows. Likewise, he requested Villareal to stop distribution of "I-Vice Ganda Mo Ako sa Araneta" CD copy in the market.
In response to the complaint, the MTRCB has summoned Vice Ganda and the writers of his weekly talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice”  to discuss setting of rules on the use of comedy bar humor on his shows.
Villareal also said that he will meet with representatives of TV5 and GMA-7 later this month to discuss the same concern.
