Kapuso actor Paulo Avelino Transfers to Kapamilya Network

After all the delays, it is now confirmed that Kapuso young actor Paulo Avelino is transferring to the Kapamilya network.

On his twitter account, the Starstruck alumnus gave a hint on this news. The actor tweeted "It's always sad and painful to say goodbye. :("

Paulo is the latest Starstruck graduate to transfer to ABS-CBN to further their career following Starstruck season 4's Ultimate Sweetheart Jewel Mische and avengersPaul Salas, Megan Young, Cristine Reyes, Johan Santos, Tyrone Perez and Piero Vergara.

What went wrong to GMA-7's counter-offer that made Paolo's transfer delayed for weeks?

Just last Wednesday, while in the middle of supposed to be re-negotiation with his mother network, Paulo re-tweeted a very intriguing comment originally posted by his girlfriend LJ Reyes about hardwork and acceptance which could be associated with his decision to officially accept ABS-CBN's offer. To quote: "What's the use of determination, willingness and hardwork when they're not welcome!????!!!!" Then followed with a much more intriguing message that insinuates goodbyes, "then work for someone who welcomes it and appreciates :p tomoh ba?".

Paulo Avelino to Transfer to ABS-CBN

Kapuso rising hunk actor--Paulo Avelino--has reportedly decided to ink a deal with ABS-CBN to become a certified Kapamilya.

On his latest tweet, the StarStruck alum said "it's always sad and painful to say goodbye."

Paulo's transfer to ABS-CBN has been a long process since GMA-7, his mother network, made a counter-offer for him to remain a Kapuso star.

In the supposed to be re-negotiation with the Kapuso Network's management last Wednesday, Paulo posted an intriguing message on his Twitter account:

"What's the use of determination, willingness and hardwork when they're not welcome!????!!!!"

The young actor's last project with GMA-7 was the afternoon teleserye "Alakdana" with Louise delos Reyes.

He is currently filming the remake of the Regal Films' horror classic "Aswang" which is topbilled by Lovi Poe. The movie is being directed by Jerrold Tarog and also stars Jillian Ward and Marc Abaya.

Paulo Avelino is said to be signing a contract with the Kapamilya network this Monday, August 15.

Piolo Pascual Teams Up With ABS-CBN News Team for Ninoy Aquino Special

Hunk actor Piolo Pascual is teaming up with ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs to relive the legacy of former senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. and his love story with former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino.

Pascual will serve as the narrator for "Ninoy sa Puso ng Pinoy" which will be aired on ABS-CBN Channel 2 on August 21, in time for Aquino's 28th death anniversary.

"Gusto naming gawin 'to lalo na para sa henerasyon naming hindi pa masyadong nakakakilala kay Ninoy," Pascual told ABS-CBN News.

"Malaking karangalan sa'kin na mag-narrate ng napakagandang storya. Dito natin makikilala ang ating modernong bayani."

Asked what he admires about Aquino, the actor said, "Bilib ako sa guts niya, dignidad niya, sa mga pinaglaban niya bilang mover noong 80s."

He added that he also wants to be a journalist, just like Aquino.

"I've always wanted to be a newscaster. Gusto ko mag-present ng news," said Pascual, who took up Communication Arts at the University of Santo Tomas.

Last year, Pascual played the role of Aquino in ABS-CBN's drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya."

The episode marked the 77th birth anniversary of Cory Aquino's husband.

ABS-CBN Primetime Rules July Ratings

BS-CBN Corporation, the country’s largest multimedia conglomerate, ruled the national TV ratings in the viewer-rich primetime (6 pm to 12 nn) wherein advertisers invest 75% of their TV ad spending.

Kantar Media, which has 22 TV networks, ad agencies, and pan-regional networks subscribing to its ratings services, reported that ABS-CBN’s primetime offerings soared to an average audience share of 42%, an eleven-point lead against GMA’s 31%; thereby, giving advertisers more value to their investments on ABS-CBN's high-rating primetime shows.

Data show that most Filipinos prefer "100 Days to Heaven" for entertainment viewing on weeknights and "Maalaala Mo Kaya" on weekends, while they tune in to "TV Patrol" when it comes to news and information. These three topped all programs in July.

Twelve out of the top 15 most-watched programs nationwide in July were on ABS-CBN. The are “100 Days to Heaven” (32.5%), “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (30.2%), “TV Patrol” (28.5%), “Guns and Roses” (27.9%), “Pilipinas Got Talent” (27.5%), “Rated K” 26.2%), “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” (25%), “Wansapanataym” (24.8%), “You Got It 2” (24.2%), “Goin Bulilit” (22.2%), “Gandang Gabi Vice” (21.3%), and “Mula sa Puso” (21%).

ABS-CBN’s coverage of President Aquino’s State of the Nation Address had more viewers across the contry as its ratings hit 14.1% percent, higher than GMA’s 13.3%.
ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold afternoon block, meanwhile, strengthened its performance with its front runner “I Dare You” (13.2%) beating its rival program “Gourmet” (10.1%) as well as GMA’s other afternoond offerings such as “Sisid” (12.7%) and “Blusang Itim” (12.5%).

ABS-CBN obtained a national TV audience share of 36% in July, higher than GMA's 34%.

Kantar Media’s current subscribers include ABS-CBN, NBN, Sky Cable, J. Romero and Associates, Adformatix, Starcom, OMD, PhD, Mediacom, Mindshare, MEC, Maxus, Universal McCann, and Wellmade Manufacturing Corporation. They also include pan-regional networks likes CSM Media Inc., Fox International Channels, Star HK, Discovery, AXN, HBO, MTV, and Sony Pictures Television International.

ABS-CBN shifted to Kantar Media/TNS after filing a case vs. AGB Nielsen Media Research for failing to comply with its request to investigate alleged cheating and data tampering in TV ratings. The case is still pending in court.

ABS-CBN registered a consolidated net income of P976 million in the first three months of 2011, while GMA Network reported a P534 million net income in the same period.

ABS-CBN’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization or EBITDA hit P2.1 billion in the first quarter of 2011 while GMA Network’s EBITDA was P926 million. ABS-CBN delivered consolidated revenues of P6.6 billion from advertising and consumer sales.

100 Days to Heaven Named This Season's Most Inspiring TV Series

Not only has “100 Days to Heaven” earned the nods of TV viewers and critics, it has also been made the teaching topic of a church sermon.

According to respected critic and columnist Nestor Torre, he heard a sermon himself wherein the priest urged churchgoers to learn from the story of the mean, icy, and cunning owner of a toy empire, Anna Manalastas.

In his sermon, the priest said people can draw inspiration from Anna, who after being killed in a car explosion, was given a second chance at earning a ticket to heaven by doing good to those she have wronged. He said Anna’s story shows the importance of “making amends, asking for forgiveness, attaining closure and deserving a second chance.”

In his review of “100 Days to Heaven,” Torre called it “as this season’s most inspiring TV series.”

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 crosses the $1 billion mark

wand battle Over the weekend Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 crossed the $1 billion mark after just 19 days of release, matching Avatar‘s record for the fastest movie to reach $1 billion. Potter’s final outing has taken $1.008 billion in total, $318.4m in the US (becoming the highest grossing Potter film) and $690m overseas (again, the highest Potter film).
As it stands Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is now eighth on the all-time worldwide chart, ahead of The Dark Knight but just behind Alice in Wonderland. Box Office Mojo predicts that with the movie opening in China next weekend, Potter will ultimately overtake The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King ($1.12 billion) to become the third highest grossing movie of all time (without inflation).
Here’s the all-time list as it stands today:
1. Avatar – $2.7B
2. Titanic – $1.9B
3. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King – $1.1B
4. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest – $1.066B
5. Toy Story 3 – $1.063B
6. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides – $1.032B
7. Alice in Wonderland – $1.02B
8. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - $1.008
9. The Dark Knight – $1B
10. Transformers: Dark of the Moon – $982.9
As you can see, Transformers: Dark of the Moon is on the verge of crossing the $1 billion mark. When it does that will make it the third movie from 2011 to join the all-time list. Obviously 3D ticket prices have helped immensely, and overseas audiences have made up 65-76% of the total grosses for each film

ABS-CBN Entertainment and News Programs, Watched by Most Filipinos

ABS-CBN Corporation, the country’s largest multimedia conglomerate, ruled the national TV ratings in the viewer-rich primetime (6 pm to 12 nn) wherein advertisers invest 75% of their TV ad spending.

Kantar Media, which has 22 TV networks, ad agencies, and pan-regional networks subscribing to its ratings services, reported that ABS-CBN’s primetime offerings soared to an average audience share of 42% in July, an eleven-point lead against GMA’s 31%; thereby, giving advertisers more value to their investments on ABS-CBN's high-rating primetime shows.

Data show that most Filipinos prefer "100 Days to Heaven" for entertainment viewing on weeknights and " Maalaala Mo Kaya" on weekends, while they tune in to "TV Patrol world" when it comes to news and information.

'Good Vibes,' Nag-All Time High sa TV Ratings

Angeline Quinto - You're My Home Lyrics

I close my eyes
And I can feel that you're a part of me
You are my home
Though I'm afar I'm in your company
I'm In You

I play my song
And I can hear you're in my melody
My life, my home
No matter what with you I'll always be

You're my home
And together we share this love for us
To be happy and free

You're my home
And together we'll strive to make this world
A better place to be

Come take my hand
Come fill my heart
with all the love you see

Let every child
Be what they are,
Be what they wanna be

You're my home
And together we share this love for us
To be happy and free

You're my home
And together we'll strive to make this world
A better place to be (noypistuff)

You're my home
And together we share this love for us
To be happy and free

You're my home
And together we'll strive to make this world
A better place to be

For you and for me
