The national TV ratings of "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala," as measured by multi-national market research group Kantar media, soared in the last week of June as the story of the ABS-CBN primetime series made pivotal turns with Santos' character Anessa finally choosing to stand up to her husband and his family.
Throughout the week of June 24, the Primetime Bida offering only ranked second to its lead-in series, "Juan dela Cruz," which is still the most watched TV program nationwide.
Starting Tuesday, June 25, the nationwide ratings of "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" steadily increased until it reached its highest registered rating ever of 29.2% on Thursday, June 27 -- just 10 days after its premiere.
Friday, June 28, saw another milestone in the series' viewership in both rural and urban areas, when it breached the 30% mark to beat its own record set the previous day with 31.2% in national TV ratings.
Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes, representing 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
In episodes of "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" aired last week, a pregnant Anessa stood firm on her decision to separate from Eros (Sam Milby) after an abusive relationship.
Coerced by her husband's family to reunite with him, Anessa fled to safety in the company of her mother (Susan Africa) and brother (Joseph Marco).
Anessa also welcomed her husband's mistress Alexis (KC Concepcion) into her home only to physically confront her in a scene anticipated by followers of the program.
"Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" airs weeknights after the Coco Martin-starrer "Juan dela Cruz" during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block.
