ABS-CBN will take its viewers to a heart-thumping and breath-taking primetime experience as it gives the Kapamilyas a rare kind of drama, fusing romance and action into one television series, entitled “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin,” premiering on March 7, 2011.
A casting coup set to bring you the characters that will etch an indelible mark in the showbiz marquee will complete your primetime nights - Coco Martin, Andi Eigenmann, Maja Salvador, Tonton Gutierrez, John Estrada, Rondalo Valdez,Boots Anson-Roa, Amy Austria-Ventura and Lorna Tolentino.
This will be Coco Martin’s biggest break to date as he takes on a dual role. “Sundalo ako dito at tulisan. Dalawang magkaibang karakter po,” Coco shared. Coco further explained that he considers this as his most challenging character ever, “sinusubukan po talaga ng mga karakter na gagampanan ko yung kakayahan ko. Magkaiba po kasi talaga yung personalidad nung dalawang characters.”
Coco will be paired with two of the most beautiful faces of their generation, Andi and Maja. “Grabe yung role ko dito. Lahat ng training na pinagdaanan ng mga sundalong lalake, ginawa ko rin. This is the toughest role I have ever portrayed,” Andi shared. Maja on the other hand expressed how she enjoys her unique character in the series, “NPA ako dito eh. Sa masukal na kagubatan kami nakatira. Ang saya. Kasi yung mga bagay na di ko pa nararanasan sa totoong buhay, at least may pagkakataon akong ma-experience sa pamamagitan ng seryeng ito.”
A roster of the hottest Kapamilya artists will also have a special part in the series:Kim Chiu, Erich Gonzales, Xian Lim, Agot Isidro, Albert Martinez and Angel Aquino.
Under the direction of Ruel Bayani, ‘Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin’ circles in the differences of two worlds, the world of the soldiers and the world of the bandits, and how these differences will link the two opposite poles. Love, family and one’s firm stand on his/her principle will be highlighted as the story progresses.
