Dubbed as the country’s Multimedia Star, Toni Gonzaga celebrates her decade-long showbiz journey with a concert, Toni @ 10, to be held at the Araneta Coliseum on September 30. Asked how she feels about mounting such a huge event, Toni said she is grateful that many of her colleagues have been supportive of her in this endeavor. Some of her guests include John Lloyd Cruz, Piolo Pascual, Vhong Navarro, Gary Valenciano, and Pokwang among others.
“Siyempre I am looking forward na mapanood nila kasi marami kaming handang surpresa. Ang tingin ko nga sa kanya parang pelikula e. It’s going to be a journey of my beautiful 10 years in the business. I am excited kasi ‘di naman tayo masyado nabibigyan ng chance to sing and perform on TV. But this time I would be able to do the things I love to do. Swerte ko dahil kahit papaano nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na gawin yun sa Araneta.”
To be headed by ASAP director Johnny Manahan, Toni said that there’s a lot of big production numbers in store for the audience. She’s particularly excited with her showdown with her younger sister, Alex. “Siyempre bongga yung mga gagawin ko dito. But more than that, maraming guests na magpe-perform at kasama dun si Alex. Maganda yung numbers namin ng kapatid ko kasi kabugan na talaga, magkaalaman na talaga.”
Toni was also happy to say that ticket sales have been brisk. “We started off sa magandang pagbubukas ng ticket selling. As of now, alam ko almost half were sold and it’s still increasing everyday. In [less than] two weeks malalaman natin. Everyday maraming bumibili. Siguro because of the promotions that have been happening, maraming tao ang naging aware sa concert. So ayun, I hope to see you all there!”
