Here are this year's top Cosmo bachelors headed by
GMA Kapuso star Dingdong Dantes.
"Gusto ko something different, gusto ko ibang Dingdong Dantes naman ang ipapakita ko sa tao," said young actor Dingdong Dantes when asked about his daring pictorial for Cosmopolitan magazine where he agreed to be photographed in his birthday suit.
Dingdong was actually surprised at first when he received an invite to be part of Cosmo. It has been known that Dingdong has prepared himself for many weeks for the sexy scenes in his GMA-7 soap opera Marimar, which in turn led to other opportunities for him to show the sexy side of him.
But many people were actually surprised when Cosmo released its latest issue with the conservative Dingdong in the nude.
"Dati pa naman gumagawa na ako ng mature roles, but it doesn't mean na magpa-pasexy na ako sa movies, sa TV... I believe na pag magpapa-sexy ka, you have to act it, you have to perform it, and not just pose.
"Kinabahan talaga ako noong una. Pero kasi, afterwards, inisip ko talaga na naglalaro lang ako. I would say na talaga na I'm in a different state, lalo na sa edad ko. Talagang pagtanda ko, mabablikan ko itong pangyayaring ito, e, and also be proud of it," said Dingdong in an interview with Startalk.
However, Dingdong admitted that he still doesn't know if the "sexy" decision would lead him anywhere. But one thing's for sure, he will take the catwalk on Cosmo's Bachelor Bash on September 6.
"May few invitations na to do similar poses sa isang health magazine," he said. "At nakaka-flatter naman na because of this, nagkakaroon ng offer na ganito. I'll be there sa Cosmo Bachelor party with the other people na nag-pose sa magazine... It's fun and I'm actually excited about it."
